Key Strategic Hire: Ricardo Alvarado, Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ricardo joins PEC to drive financial strategy and operational stability, setting the stage for the company’s ambitious evolution.

2018
Building the Foundation for Growth

Maximizing Existing Vehicles and Building Momentum. PEC begins leveraging existing contract vehicles, maximizing opportunities, and laying the foundation for future expansion with stellar past performance. Key areas of focus include advanced engineering support, artificial intelligence, non-destructive testing, and emerging technology development for unmanned systems.

2019
A Transformational Year
Expansion of Contract Vehicles and Key Wins. PEC secures significant contracts, laying the foundation for its expansion. Winning a prime seat on the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) SIA3 IDIQ vehicle and as one of only three companies with access to the Minotaur source code via DS TAT Task Order CRANE, PEC solidifies their position as a key competitor in the defense space.
Edge Analytic Solutions (EAS). PEC’s joint venture under the SBA mentor-protégé program, wins its first task order on the SIA3 IDIQ, enabling PEC to set new standards for small business performance in government contracting.
Key Strategic Hires: Dr. David Grogan and Bobby Sunderland. PEC welcomes David Grogan as Managing Director and EAS President, along with Bobby Sunderland as Chief Integration Officer, strengthening PEC’s leadership in intelligence and systems integration.

2020
Expanding Capabilities
Strategic Hire: Jennifer Nickolas, General Counsel and Director of Contracts. Jennifer’s legal expertise expands PEC’s capacity to manage increasingly complex contracts and legal frameworks.

2021
Data Science & Special Operations Expansion
Predictive Analytics Contract Win ($24M). PEC continues to innovate, with a $24M predictive analytics contract supporting data-driven intelligence across cross-functional teams. This marks the establishment of PEC’s data science and AI/ML expertise, transitioning from prototypes to enterprise-level capabilities.
MARSOC Training Program Expansion. PEC significantly expands its support to the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) with collective contributions to the pre-deployment training program, enhancing its special operations capabilities within SOCOM.

2022
Space Domain & Engineering Innovation
SpaceCom J2 Contract Win ($487M). PEC secures a prime contract seat for critical intelligence missions for the U.S. Space Command. This entry into the space domain underscores PEC’s growing influence in cutting-edge defense sectors.
SBIR Phase III Contract Win ($357M). PEC wins a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract to provide engineering and AI/ML-driven ISR solutions. This contract propels PEC further into the unmanned systems space, honing its capabilities in AI, data science, and engineering.

2023
Growing Influence and Global Impact
SBIR Expansion to CBP Fleet. PEC builds on its Minotaur work, extending these capabilities across the entire Customs and Border Protection (CBP) fleet, enhancing national security operations.

Acquisition of Edge Analytic Solutions (EAS). PEC acquires EAS as a wholly owned subsidiary, transitioning its protégé status to a prime contract holder in the unrestricted pool within just five years.
Growing Recognition: GovCon recognizes Prescient Edge, nominating them for Contractor of the Year, and CEO Alex Granados is honored as an Executive of the Year finalist.
